Nemo Achida x Poiselife
-For those who aren't familiar with you, please go ahead and introduce yourself.
Hello to the unfamiliar, I'm Nemo Achida from Kentucky. Thank you for taking time out of your precious day to read me.
-Describe your sound, what are some of your inspirations?
My sound changes too often I think, but some would categorize it as "alternative" or "indie". I say it's just hip hop, & that my direction changes because my inspiration does the same.
Speaking of which, i'd say my main inspiration for my music would be my personal life. When it's your reality the music has no choice but to come across as natural. Other hiphop artists that have influenced me more than likely debuted in the '90s. Such as Q-tip, Jay, Mos, Outkast, Common, and that list goes on.
-Name a few artist you'd love to collaborate with and why?
Although I'm a self-producer, there are times that I'm not inspired enough to play that role. In times like that I wish Pharrell, 88-keys, 14-kt, or Dr. Dre was in the lab with me. As an "MC" i'd love to write work with authors - like imagine what an album would sound like if Charles Bukowski gave me all of the concepts & outlines...that would be grand.
-Whats your opinion on the game (hip-hop) right now?
I have to admit it, for a while I was apart of Nas' "HipHop is Dead" cult. I had stopped rapping, no longer did I purchase the source, or XXL. I was creating Rock&Roll in my mentor's garage. Then my senior of high school Kanye released "Graduation", I heard tracks like "I wonder", "Flashing Lights, and was immediately inspired. The sound was so fresh that it charged me up, honestly. It made me feel as though the LOVE I share with hiphop needed to be proven. It seems as though that feeling came across a lot of fans in my generation, fans that eventually became artists that make quality work. So I believe HipHop is in great hands with souls like Dom Kennedy, Smoke Dza, Big Krit, etc etc
-What projects are you currently working on that we can look forward to?
Right now I'm working on a Brooklyn-based effort, which is my new home. That group effort is referred to as "The BurnHearts", verrrrry experimental. Other than that, Digital Dan is still set to drop in Spring '11.
-What do you want your fans to walk away with after listening to your music?
Inspiration.
-Lastly,tell us a little bit about your own personal style.(clothing)
Lol, honestly I'm just into colors. I like seeing what works & what doesnt. "Urban-Style" boxxed our choices in for long enough, and it makes me proud to be apart of a generation that has changed that. To conclude this, I like my clothes to fit.

Bella Vie x POISELIFE
Exclusive Poise Life interview with new up and coming artist/support the movement.
1.For those who dont know who Ms V is tell us a little about yourself.
I am an aspiring singer/songwriter currently affiliated with an up and coming Hip-Hop movement called The Arrogant Empire. Our album AETV coming real soon so ya'll look out for that. On the personal side, before anything, I'm a mother of a 3 year old boy and I'm also pursuing a Bachelors in Entertainment Business. Besides that, music is a huge passion of mine...can't live without it.
2.When did you findout you had a passion for singing and writing?
I've had a passion for singing and just music overall from a very early age. I come from a family full of musicians and singers so from day one I was surrounded with different musical elements. At about 12 or 13 years old I wrote my first song and since then I knew music would be a part of my life. I always remember I would make songs with my cousins and even our own remixes to other songs. Towards the end of high school and after that was when I started taking more steps into making music. The more I learned, the more my passion grew and it still continues to grow.
3.Who are your favorite artists out right now?
I admire the talent of so many artists past and present but some artists I've recently been listening to Ryan Leslie, Jazmine Sullivan, Alicia Keys, Musiq Soulchild, Clipse, Joell Ortiz, Fabolous, and Wale, amongst so many others. My music collection ranges from Hip-Hop to R&B to some Alternative to Salsa, Reggaeton, Bachata, and even some Traditional Reggae/Dancehall. If I can relate to it, feel what the music is saying, or its just some feel good music I'm with it.
4.What projects are you currently working on?
As a group, we got the AE project coming out soon (AETV). Aside from that, I continue to write and I'll be working on some solo and some AE collaboration joints for the next AE project as well as a project of my own. I just want to keep writing and perfecting my craft even if I write for others. I just want to make music.
5.Whats your favorite female clothing line?
I'm not really one to be about big names too much but I do appreciate style and fashion. So if I like something I see and its unique to me then I'm on it. One clothing line that's recently caught my attention is Married to The Mob (MTTM). That's got me written all over it.
6.Are you a heel chick? Or a sneakers chick?
I'm both. I like a little hood and a little feminine. I love rockin' my Tims, my J's, etc. I also like to get my "grown-n-sexy" on with some dope heels when the occasion calls for it. I'm not odee hood and not odee girly.
7.How can your fans get in contact with you?
You can find me on Twitter... @MsVsWorld or for any inquiries I can be contacted at ms_v@arrogantempire.com or bellav09@gmail.com. Shouts to The Arrogant Empire fam, artists, producers, as well as the supporters. Also, shouts to Poise Life for showing love with this interview

Rena1ssance of DTF RADIO x POISELIFE
For those that arent familiar with RENA1SSANCE please introduce yourself.
well... Rena1ssance is the name, BK is the boro, NY is the birthplace, and musical composition/writing are the prevalent forms of expression. I'm currently entering my 6th year as a pro, & have worked with quite a few artists, some local, some international, some legendary, & some on the verge of becoming Icons, but I'm not really one to do too much name dropping.. name dropping is kinda "gay" to me, actually... ;)
How would you describe your sound?
I feel like my music shares the same DNA of an epic movie score. In the same way that a film score paints a scene with the ebb & flow of emotions, grandeur, excitement, & even terror, my tracks provide the backdrop to the recording artist's audio movie, if that makes sense...
Who are some of your musical influences?
Anything "beautifully broken". Beethoven's 9th (which he composed while totally deaf) / The paintings of Jean Michel Basquiat (who was also a rapper/musician) /The absolutely impeccable tone and delivery of The Notorious B.I.G. /the architectural designs of Mario Botta, Jean Nouvel, & Renzo Piano/ Robert Plant's vocals/ Billy Corgan's "strat" riffs/ Zachary Francis Condon's vision/ & the gritty streets of Brooklyn stand out. music is the pulse of everything...
What's your take on the game (Hip-Hop) right now,as far as artist and producers are concerned?
I feel like the game is more fun right now, actually. Yes, its stale in some regards, but overall, I get a strong sense that I'm at the vanguard of an incredible creative wave that's shaping modern music, while breaking down the bullshit formulas that were put into place by balding millionaires whose only REAL concerns are money & mistresses.. All of that said, I have to admit, that its sometimes a bit embarrassing to be associated with a "title" that no longer carries the same mystique as what it used to... (death to the fruity loopers! - no shots @ Mr Encore.. lmao)
You also host a show on DTF radio, Midi Monsters...tell us a little about that.
Hilarious transition from my last response to this, huh? but w/e. lol oookay, so MIDI MONSTERS exists to educate, prepare, and empower young musicians & audio creative enthusiasts. I'm very happy to announce that we are coming up on our 1st anniversary, & we've had the pleasure of playing host to some truly legendary guests. LIke I said, no name dropping by me, but you can google us for more on that.. Currently we're trying to nail down some sponsorships, which will in turn allow us to take things to even greater levels as we enter into our 2nd year..
What are your goals for this year?
My goal is singular.. I have intentions to be one of the most coveted on earth at my field by the end of this year. My name rings bells already, but admittedly, I have a VERY long way to go. I'm real with myself & therefore realize that this goal is very lofty considering that we are coming up on the halfway point of the year in a few months, but as they say: "to whom much is given, much is required" & so I reach...
